The Gearbox is equipped with 4 speed changes by means of gears & an additional 8 speeds via in built 3 speed motor.  Two feed rates can be selected.  Gear wheels are manufactured from steel & laminated fibre to ensure quieter running.  Shafts are made of tempered steel. Coupling components are hardened.  All bearings points are provided with ball bearings.  Power feed safety device and auto stop device incorporated.

The 3 speed electric motor is suitable for operation on 415 volt, 50 Hertz, 3 phase supply. 

The Spindle is made from high grade steel and is adjustable in ball and taper roller bearings.  Down feed of the spindle is transmitted via a hand lever & counterbalanced by robust, easily accessible return spring. 

A graduated depth stop is centrally located in front of headstock. 
The Work Table is mounted on a robust support arm which can be raised, lowered and rotated around the column. A suds-type slotted circular table is fitted.

The machine is provided with a built-in ejector for quick removal of drills, chucks or reducing sleeves from spindle taper. 

The M1-35 Drilling Machine is equipped with fully machined base with tee slots.
